Under Australia’s financial regulations, FPG Pay must open an account for every customer whom we provide remittance and settlement services to. There are two types of accounts – one for individuals and one for companies.
Opening an Individual Transaction Account Individual customers can choose to provide TWO category 1 identification documents or ONE Category 1 and ONE Category 2 document. Category 1 identification documents must contain your photograph and personal details (foreign or Australia identifications are both accepted): Passport, Drivers Licence, Proof of Age Card Category 2 identification document: Medicare card, a recent bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months containing your full name and residential address, a copy of your current residential lease, a copy of a property contract of sales Opening a Company Transaction Account To apply for a company account, the director of the company must provide the company registration certificate or similar document, the director’s individual identification documents and the identification documents of all shareholders who hold more than 25% shares in the company. Company registration documents required (all available through your accountant or ASIC): Certificate of Registration Company’s Current ASIC Extract The company director and shareholders who hold more than 25% shares in the company can choose to provide TWO category 1 identification document or ONE Category 1 and ONE Category 2 document.
